Help Laurie and Matt Recover from Storm Damage
One of our favorite Riverside bartenders, Laurie, as well as her husband Matt, are struggling through losing 2 vehicles, following the storms through Southern IL. Matt's 1995 7.3 F350, & their 2011 Dodge Durango, were both crushed by a tree. Unfortunately, both vehicles are total losses. They've got kiddos to transport, life to take care of, and have been nothing but good to me and many other patrons, locals, and friends.
Anything at all will help Mary's son Matt and his dear wife Laurie to get back on their feet, and on wheels again!

From Matt:
Hello everyone, my name is Matthew. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when a massive 60-foot tree fell on our two main vehicles, while I was home with our four kids. This has left us with only one car to manage our daily needs.
Our 6-year-old, Marley, is facing a major surgery soon to have her spleen removed. She and her siblings, Ethan (9), Ellie (12), and Mason (4), also deal with the same blood disorder, which requires regular medical attention. With Marley needing bi-weekly blood transfusions at the children’s hospital in St. Louis, our transportation is critical.
Laurie, my wife, drives our kids to school and takes them to multiple wrestling practices a week. She works hard as a bartender, while I commute to Missouri for work during the week. Despite our best efforts, this unexpected disaster has put significant strain on our family.
Unfortunately, our car insurance only covers liability, leaving us to cover the costs of two total losses. State Farm is providing a small amount for tree removal, but we will need access to the driveway soon!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story!
