Hi! My name is Lauren and I am trying to raise preparation funds for SRS (Sexual Reassignment Surgery).

I need to do preparation electrolysis; I can get reimbursed by insurance, but I need to front money while the reimbursement happens. I'm living paycheck to paycheck and I previously maxed out any credit I had putting money in advance for electrolysis sessions.

Each session costs around $150-200, so I would like to be able to pay for a few sessions in advance while I file reimbursement paperwork. Additionally, scheduling around work can be tough and sometimes I can get evening sessions, but the clinic is downtown and I don't have time to take transit from work to the appointment, so I either have to deal with parking or rideshare costs.

I'm hoping to use funds to pay down debt and get financially stable to allow me to put money in advance for the sessions. The physical proof is too graphic obviously, but I can provide redacted invoices and/or other financial documentation after the procedure.

Getting this surgery done means the world to me and is a major factor in my quality of life. Even with insurance, there are a lot of expenses involved that I can't afford right now, and when I get scheduled I need to be ready! Your support would mean the world to me!
