Help Laurel McAndrews!
This is a call to all Fargo people and the South High Bruins Family. Anyone who knows Laurel McAndrews has felt the ray of light she brings with every interaction she has with us. She's supportive. Helpful. She is humble, and never hesitates to offer her hand when her friends are in trouble. Plenty of us in the Bruin family have felt the warmth of her friendship. She's also just a blast and hilarious. Throughout her lifelong struggles with her health, she keeps it positive. Laurel is currently recovering from a major medical incident that happened on a visit to Portland, OR on her way to her Aunt's funeral. She is among family but has a long road of recovery ahead. She will be staying there receiving intensive health care until at least the end of September. Personally, Laurel has affected me positively in so many ways. She has seen me through some extremely dark times and was always there to listen to my problems even when she was recovering from a surgery. (In addition, being my childhood neighbor she answered several desperate calls asking for the homework assignment questions for class the next day.) She is truly a gem. She has always received unwavering support from her boyfriend, who lives in Fargo and will need to make it out there to visit her. If you feel so inclined, please donate to this fund to help with medical bills, a plane ticket for Trevor to make it to offer his support while she heals, and helping Laurel with expenses while she can't work. Any amount helps. Thanks to Laurel for the unbelievably positive presence she's always left on us in Fargo and we look forward to your return healthy and happy!!
