My sister, Laurel Davies (godmother to my daughter Lea Davies), is being admitted to hospice. A combination of congestive heart failure and possible kidney failure are bringing her time on this earth short. Her CO2 levels are building, and she’s not eating or drinking. I don’t know how much time she has. So, I’m setting my pride aside as I don’t have the emergency funds. My goal is to fund plane tickets and lodging for my daughter and me to travel from Colorado to North Carolina for a few days to say our goodbyes. As she is not married and has no children, I am her closest relative and have a moral and legal responsibility to get her affairs in order. Thank you for your consideration.
