Help Laura's Dream of a 6TH World Cup
Donation protected

Lacrosse has played a huge role in my life and shapes the person I am. Driven to compete at the highest level, I want to continue to be a role model for females and for Wales Lacrosse in demonstrating that you can be an elite athlete, have a fulfilling job and bring up a family.
So many females stop playing sport because of the lack of support, but I am determined to not let money be the reason I have to stop playing the sport I love when I know I have many years left in me. I want to teach my children that you have to keep following your dreams!
I will be forever grateful for the support, and I promise to pass on your kindness to others in my own way.
I turn 40 this October 10th , and the best birthday gift in the World would to be able to call my Coach and tell her that I can carry on playing

THE TEAM
The Wales Women’s National team is ranked 7th in the world and won a Bronze medal at the 2019 European Championships. We are proud of our track record on the world stage given our size and limited resources.
As elite athletes, we perform at the very top of our sport whilst managing challenging careers, studies and families. We will each pay £7500 in order to compete in the 2022 World Lacrosse World Championship next summer in Baltimore.
In order to reduce this financial burden to achieve our goals, we are seeking external funding.
THE ORGANISATION
Wales Lacrosse is a small National Governing Body which receives limited government funding for its operations. It is unable to financially support its players to perform on the international stage. As a result, the players need to make a significant personal financial commitment in order to represent their country. We are proud of our players’ dedication to their training and achieving their goals.
We are a voluntary organisation that is:
Professional – acting ethically and with integrity setting high standards and expectations on and off the pitch;
Dynamic – bringing positive attitudes, energy and innovation; and
Inclusive – celebrating the strength of diversity and valuing everyone involved.
