Help LauraRose Get Back on the Road & Keep Serving Her Community

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am writing this today on behalf of my dear friend, LauraRose—a kind, compassionate soul who has been an unwavering support for many, including me. I am Mrs. B, one of the elderly-disabled women that LauraRose helps regularly. I have witnessed firsthand her selflessness and tireless efforts to assist those in need, and now it is time for us to return the favor.

The Challenges LauraRose is Facing:

This year has been an incredibly difficult one for LauraRose. She has faced multiple surgical recoveries and three separate head traumas, which have taken a huge physical and emotional toll on her. On top of her health struggles, she is been hit with an unforeseen auto repair bill, which was unfortunately not covered by her warranty. The repairs required are substantial:

• Battery Replacement: $1,000

• Air Conditioner Replacement: $1,500

Together, these repairs total $2,500, and that is the amount we are hoping to raise through this campaign.

Why This Matters So Much:

As many of us know, LauraRose is always there when we need her—whether it is taking the elderly-disabled to medical appointments, running errands, or helping out with anything we cannot manage ourselves. She does all of this out of the goodness of her heart, and because of her own disability income, she struggles to save enough money for these unforeseen expenses.

Without her car, LauraRose cannot continue her crucial work for people as me and the many others she helps. This is not just about fixing a vehicle—it is about ensuring LauraRose can keep serving her community, which has become harder for her with each passing day. And for those of us who rely on her, the absence of her support would be incredibly challenging.

A Little About LauraRose’s Heart:

When she is not helping others, you can find LauraRose around SBCC’s Environmental Horticulture space, where she dedicates her time to watering, weeding, and making sure all the plants are thriving. She does this because she loves it, and because she finds joy in making things grow. It is just one example of her deep connection to the world around her, and how much she gives back to our community.

Now, it is time for us to help LauraRose, just as she is always helped us.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to help cover the cost of repairing LauraRose’s car, which is essential for her to continue her work and remain independent.
