Hi, my name is Laura, and I'm going to try and keep this as short and to the point as possible. I am a mother of two lovely children ages 8 and 10, and as a family we've had it pretty rough through the pandemic but between serving tables at a nice restaurant and some passive income on the side from a discord bot that I own we were able to get by until a routine eye doctor exam revealed excessive pressure on my brain.

By August of this year (2021) after many neurology appointments, tests, scans, and opinions from neurologists and neurosurgeons as well as a spinal tap that did not relieve the pressure... I was getting a surgery to relieve the pressure within my brain (pressure rating 29, average person 15-19) the alternative-going blind permanently and likely stroke at a young age. Going into this surgery I never imagined the impact it would have on my family's life and financial well-being. Up to this point, we were lucky enough to be covered under government medical plans due to lower than average income and this would have covered surgery completely.

I am happy to say that I am now more than a few months post neurosurgery and it seems to have been a total success and for that I am thankful, however something that I overlooked totally has financially devistated us. The money earned from my discord bot (I co-own it with another) which is in my name put me over the limit for receiving government insurance even though most of the money I send to the other and original owner of the bot ... This huge unexpected medical expense in combination with not being able to work for many weeks and bills stacking up with no remorse from utility company's and patience from landlord running thin were left with little options and many bills to pay. Its been so rough for many reasons including the loss of an immediate family member and just when it really seemed like things couldn't get much worse... My car now will no longer run due to a Ford transmission issue that so many others have also experienced so now even earning money is a struggle.

Not much else to say, just a last ditch effort and hope, either way I'm gonna keep trying because that's what I have to do for me and my children. Any help here is more than appreciated, and the goal is much higher than anything I expect from this.
