Help Laura (Thi Huyen) Nguyen

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Linh, older sister of Laura (Thi Huyen) Nguyen, and I am reaching out to you with a plea for help for Laura and our family

Laura is originally from Vietnam, she arrived in Canada alone last October for high school as an international student.

Unfortunately, she has been hospitalized since June of this year for treatment of aggressive Tuberculosis that has destroyed her lungs and kept her in the Intensive Care Unit at the Toronto General Hospital on Life Support ever since

As of today, Laura is still very ill and is not expected to be able to leave the ICU anytime soon

Fortunately, our parents have been able to come from Vietnam to be at the bedside with Laura.

As many of you know, being hospitalized comes with a heavy financial burden. Despite having health insurance from school, the out of pocket expenses have become overwhelming for our family. I am reaching out to friends, family and kind-hearted individuals who might know my story for some help. Your donation, however big or small will go a long

way in helping Laura cover medical expenses, travel costs for the family to be

with her, and other necessary expenditures.

positivity mean the world to our family. Knowing that Laura have a community of

supporters behind her will give Laura the strength to keep fighting.
