I'm putting together this GoFundMe for my cousin, Laura Telford, who is a business owner in Asheville, NC..

Currently, post-Hurricane Helene, Laura and her employees are fairly isolated and cut off from the outside world. Laura owns a natural foods co-op and a coffee shop. They lost upward of $30k in perishable items and are donating the food to first responders and firefighters. She is doing everything she can to be a good neighbor and citizen.

They have no power, and the city water system is expected to be down for several weeks. Wells need pumps and generators, people are running out of gas, etc. She writes me from a parking lot where she is able to get satellite coverage. FEMA and disaster funds will be available soon, but it is hard to anticipate when this will happen or to what extent. She is very concerned for her kids and her 10 employees and their families.

Money seems useless right now, but they are counting the days and hours until it is not. Laura is hoping to be a hub of food and community to provide relief. Please chip in any amount to help show support and solidarity.
