Help Laura Souders During Her Recovery

On the 7th of January, the Souders family experienced a sudden and devastating event, Laura Souders suffered from a brain bleed which caused a stroke. Laura had to undergo surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. She was hospitalized at the Hershey Medical Center and recently moved to the Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Center. Unfortunately, the event resulted in paralysis on the left side of her body at this time. It is going to take a lot of hard work and rehabilitation to help her gain strength and mobility. Modifications will also need to be made in their home to accommodate her current needs. Laura is still as funny as ever and has never been afraid of hard work, but her dream career as a Professional Organizer, a very physical job, will have to be placed on hold to focus on her recovery. As a small business owner, with only one part-time employee, her business will have to be suspended while she is rehabilitating.

Anyone who knows Laura Souders knows what a kind, genuine, positive and good-natured person she is. Laura has done some amazing things in her life. Laura gave up a long teaching career to follow her passion and start her own business as a professional organizer; she wrote a book, Organizing Her Life; she became a motivational speaker; is a well-loved local celebrity on Good Day PA and has helped on the TV show Hoarders. Laura has helped to improve the lives of others while doing all of these things. She has been a great friend to many. Now, it is time for us to help her.

Scott has been at her side since January 7th, along with her family, but the last thing they need to worry about right now is finances. The reality is, a suspended business means no income. Ryan is in his first year of college and Zach is currently in graduate school.
