Laura Ulm is my sister-in-law, and she’s facing one of the hardest moments of her life. In her mid-40s and not in great health, Laura recently suffered a stroke that cost her the job she depended on. With her Social Security benefits still pending, she’s now at risk of losing her storage unit—along with the precious memories and keepsakes inside.

This isn’t just about furniture or boxes. Laura’s storage unit holds her late father’s ashes, family photos, her children’s childhood mementos, holiday decorations, and important paperwork like cemetery plot documents and her husband’s father’s will. If the unit isn’t paid for by the 28th, everything will be auctioned off, and these irreplaceable pieces of her family’s history will be lost forever.
