Hi everyone!

 

Last year, so many of you graciously donated to help my efforts in attending the 2024 Brevard Music Center Janiec Opera Company. Because of you, I was able to spend an incredible summer furthering my education, and learning and growing. At the end of the summer, I returned a changed musician and performer. I have all of you to thank, because without your help, I would not have been able to attend last year. I am so incredibly grateful for your help.

 

This year, I am honored to have been invited back to the 2025 BMC Janiec Opera Company to sing in the role of Cendrillon in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon. Additional opportunities I have been offered are covering the role of the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, chorus in both The Magic Flute and L’elisir d’amore, soloist in An Evening of Operetta, and chorus in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony in the BMC Season Finale Concert.

 

Brevard is such a special place. The training is intensive and challenges us to push ourselves outside our comfort zones. The artists work incredibly hard, and director of the Janiec Opera Company, Dean Anthony, and all of the staff, are so deeply invested in the progress and talent of every single singer in the program. Because of the outstanding faculty and incredible performance opportunities, I know that another summer at Brevard would push me even further and help me grow more in my skill not only as a singer, but as a singing actress and well-rounded performer.

 

I have been given a generous scholarship, but there still remains $4,500 of tuition. I am unfortunately unable to meet these funds on my own, as I am still a full time master’s student and my earnings from my job are going towards my school tuition. Any gift of any amount would mean so much.

 

I continue to be so grateful for the generosity of all of your donations from last year, and in many ways, I have you all to thank for my current opportunity from BMC, because without you, I would never have had the transformative summer in Brevard that inspired me to reapply again this year.
