Dear Friends and Family,

You may know Laura personally, you may know her as the incredible drummer from Belly Savalas, you may know her from her African percussion workshops, her great work as a music therapist, or her epic work as a session drummer and percussionist throughout Melbourne's music scene.

However you know her, you will know that skill and dedication to the craft of music is legendary, and her optimism and passion for community building is inspiring to behold.

Last year Laura was preparing for a particularly early start (percussion and drums take a long time to load for the car), and her gear was stolen out of her car on the street in Brunswick East overnight. Several congas she was borrowing, as well as a whole bag of percussion gear.

Good quality instruments are costly to replace, and on a musician's budget, having a whole collection of instruments stolen can be a devastating blow - to the finances, your ability to work, and your morale.
