My name is Laura Blakeman, and I am living with Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy (MSA), which is incurable. These conditions have made it increasingly difficult for me to move around and communicate, impacting my independence and quality of life. Simple daily tasks that many people take for granted have become major challenges for me, and I often rely on others for help with basic needs.
I am raising funds to purchase a specialized, customized wheelchair that will help me speak and move around freely. This wheelchair is designed to support my unique needs, giving me the ability to communicate more easily and regain some of the independence I have lost. With this equipment, I hope to participate more fully in my community, spend quality time with loved ones, and enjoy a better quality of life.
Thank you for considering supporting me. Your help means so much as I work to regain my independence and improve my quality of life. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to the freedom and mobility I need.
