Help Laura Provide Healthcare in Ghana

Please help me to help others!

I am Laura Strauss, registered nurse. I joined the amazing Ghana Medical Relief organization last summer for my first medical mission trip and will be joining again this July for the mission to Bortianor, Ghana.

Thank you to those of you who supported my children and I last year! It was an amazing experience and our group saw over 7,000 patients over 5 days, all at no cost to the patients. Many of them had never been to a doctor in their lives. Others frequently had to choose between medical care/medications and feeding their families. They were so unbelievably grateful to receive medical and dental care along with medications and health insurance.

Ghana Medical Relief, 501(c)(3), is led by local physician, Dr. Samuel Owusu, who originally hales from Ghana. He's now giving back to his home country and I'm proud to be part of it! In addition to providing direct medical care, we give patients medications and health insurance, We also teach CPR to various groups. Last year, we taught CPR to the Ghanaian Air Force and left mannequins with them, so they could share their new knowledge and skills with their colleagues. We're making a direct and lasting impact, one village at a time!

The funds that I am raising will go towards medical supplies and travel accommodation's that are necessary to complete the mission successfully.
