This fundraiser is to help my good friend and colleague, Laura. She recently bought a new home and ended up getting majorly scammed by a dishonest and thieving contractor. He stole over $19,000 from her without doing the work he promised to do. Laura has been in touch with a lawyer and is in the process of trying to get her money back. This contractor has managed to avoid Laura, the lawyers, and police for weeks.

Laura is a kind, honest and very sweet person and it is really unfortunate that someone like her should get scammed so badly. If you know her, you know how sweet she is!

Laura has already paid $2,460 in legal fees and could really use some help getting some of that money back. This has been a huge burden for her, and any amount of financial support helps. All funds will go directly towards paying her legal fees and finishing the work on her house.
