Colleen is asking for support for Laura and her family, lifelong friends who are facing a heartbreaking and deeply personal crisis. Colleen grew up with Laura and Laura’s sister, Heather, and their childhood home holds a lifetime of love, memories, and family history. After Heather passed away, Heather was laid to rest at the family home alongside their father. Now, Laura’s mother has fallen ill and is no longer able to keep up with the property taxes. Because of this, the home is scheduled to be auctioned, which would mean losing not only the place where this family was raised, but also the sacred ground where Heather and their father are buried.

This fundraiser is being created to help Laura and the family pay the property taxes directly so they can keep their home and protect this meaningful place. For this family, this is so much more than a house. It is a piece of their hearts, their history, and the resting place of loved ones they never want to lose. Please help if you can.
