Help Laura Get to the Mayo Clinic for Life-Saving Cancer Treatment

My name is Erin, and I’m fundraising for my dear friend and housemate Laura, here in Palmer, Alaska. Laura is one of the strongest, kindest, and most courageous women I’ve ever known — but she is now facing the fight of her life.

A Year of Unimaginable Hardship

Last July Laura suffered a horrific attack from her own dog, leaving her hospitalized and with a scar across her cheek. Justt weeks later, she received devastating news: she had colorectal cancer.

Despite the trauma and pain, Laura faced everything with grace, humility, and courage. She underwent rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, continuing to work remotely through it all.

The Cancer Has Spread

At her most recent check-up, Laura received heartbreaking news — the cancer that was.already present in her liver, had new growth. Her doctors have recommended further treatment, but the options in Alaska are limited. Her best chance for advanced, life-saving care is at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

✈️ Why We’re Asking for Help

Laura’s medical insurance covers much of her treatment, but it does not cover travel, lodging, or the loss of income she will face when she’s too sick to work. She has already used all of her paid time off and is doing her best to stay financially stable.
