Our beautiful, kind, and hilariously gregarious sister Laura is facing a battle we all hoped was behind her. After six years of remission, her colon cancer has returned. In June Laura underwent major surgery to remove tumors, then had to get a pacemaker, then an aortic valve replacement. All this before finally beginning chemotherapy on January 5th. She is currently in Johnson City, Tennessee, awaiting housing and going through chemo every other week
If you know Laura, you know how full of life and love she is — always hopeful, always finding the funny even in hard times, and always looking for ways to bring a smile to others. Now it’s our turn to lift *her* up.
This next chapter will be tough. Laura faces not just a physical recovery, but a long road of treatment, follow-up care, and mounting medical expenses. She will need:
* Ongoing medical supplies at home
*Transportation to and from appointments and treatments
* Help with medical bills that insurance doesn’t fully cover
* A little extra for the occasional bubble tea — because joy and comfort matter, too
Any amount you give — whether it covers a tank of gas, a week of wound care supplies, or a treat to brighten her day — will make a real difference in Laura’s life. And if you can’t donate right now, sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for supporting our sister. She’s strong, but we know even the strongest need a village sometimes. Let’s be that village.
With love and gratitude,
Laura’s family
