My name is Laura Wright, and I am a behavioral technician for children with autism. I work directly with kiddos in their home setting to promote social skills, teach clients how to advocate for themselves and their emotional needs, and help them overcome aversions to new or challenging experiences. Skills are taught and encouraged through client-led, play based learning, rooted in a strong rapport and rely heavily on high value reinforcers. In a client’s home, they are familiar with all of their toys and games, and bringing new and exciting activities is invaluable in my teaching process. I am seeking to build up a collection of age appropriate toys, puzzles, games and activities to keep motivation high, and always have my kiddos excitedly wondering “what’s next!?”. The Board Console, mess free water coloring mats, art supplies, Oui Si, puzzles of widely varying difficulties, and games for ages ranging from 3-12 are my goals. If you’d like to consider purchasing one or more of these items and donating them directly instead of a cash donation, I am beyond happy to accept items as well! Please contact me first so you don’t mistakenly purchase an item that has already been donated. The actual goal is $1,500, with one specific item taking up $700 of it (it’s SIIIIIICK and I think a lot of kids would love it), and buying quality items, the rest will go quick. I just wanted to be upfront that I will continue to collect donations past the $800 because GFM automatically set that number, with no option to set the goal where I wanted it. Thank you for clicking the link and reading this far! If you’re unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser is a great way to help. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
