Help Me Pursue My Dream of Becoming a Nurse

Hello everyone,

My name is Laura,and I am a DACA recipient with a dream of becoming a nurse and making a difference in the lives of others through healthcare.

Unfortunately, I have had to stop working because my work authorization renewal was not approved in time. While I wait for my renewal, I want to make the most of this period by investing in my education and taking steps toward a better future.

I have decided to pursue a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program. I chose this path because it is the most affordable option for me. As a DACA recipient, I do not qualify for federal financial aid or grants, which means I must pay for my education out of pocket. Even though the financial burden is significant, I am determined not to let it stop me from pursuing my dream.

I have already taken the first step by completing the required entrance exam, and I am proud to say that I passed. Now, I am preparing to begin nursing school, but I need help covering tuition, books, uniforms, supplies, and other educational expenses while I am unable to work.

I know these are difficult times for everyone, especially for many immigrant families. Asking for help is not easy, but I believe that education is the best investment I can make in my future. Every donation, no matter the amount, will bring me one step closer to becoming a nurse and serving my community.

Ayúdame a Cumplir Mi Sueño de Convertirme en Enfermera

Hola a todos,

Mi nombre es Laura y soy beneficiaria de DACA. Mi sueño es convertirme en enfermera y poder servir a mi comunidad a través del cuidado de la salud.

Desafortunadamente, tuve que dejar de trabajar porque la renovación de mi permiso de trabajo no fue aprobada a tiempo. Mientras espero que mi renovación sea procesada, quiero aprovechar este tiempo de la mejor manera posible invirtiendo en mi educación y construyendo un mejor futuro para mí y mi familia.

He decidido estudiar para convertirme en Enfermera Vocacional Licenciada (LVN). Elegí este programa porque es la opción más accesible económicamente para mí. Como beneficiaria de DACA, no califico para ayuda financiera federal ni becas, por lo que debo cubrir todos los gastos de mi educación por mi cuenta. Aunque representa un gran reto financiero, estoy decidida a no permitir que esto me detenga.

Ya di el primer paso al presentar y aprobar el examen requerido para ingresar al programa. Ahora me estoy preparando para comenzar la escuela de enfermería, pero necesito ayuda para cubrir los gastos de matrícula, libros, uniformes, materiales y otros costos relacionados con mis estudios mientras no puedo trabajar.

Sé que estos son tiempos difíciles para todos, especialmente para muchas familias inmigrantes. Pedir ayuda no es fácil, pero creo firmemente que la educación es la mejor inversión que puedo hacer para mi futuro. Cada donación, sin importar la cantidad, me acerca un paso más a mi meta de convertirme en enfermera y poder ayudar a otros.
