Hey there friends! I'm trying to raise money to help my mom get a much needed Heart Ablation procedure to help stop or reduce her Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT).

She has been on medication for it for decades, and is on a very high dose twice a day, but still having breakthrough tachycardia events, the most recent one admitting her to the hospital. When this happens, she gets extremely short of breath, lightheaded, dizzy, nauseous and it's just very scary.. and I'm terrified it could happen one day while she's driving or home alone and I'm worried she'll pass out and not be able to get help. Her worst tachycardia event, her heart rate went into the 200's and she was put on a crash cart after several medications didn't work to slow it down. Ultimately their last resort medication they used was able to slow down her heart rate and she didn't need to be shocked back into rhythm.

However, they won't be able to do the procedure until we put a down payment of $623 and then we will have to make 3 more payments of $623 after the fact, which we just don't have. The whole Heart Ablation procedure being $2,689 just under $3,000 doesn't even include other fees like anesthesiology, radiology, etc. but we'd be so grateful just to cover the cost of the down payment.

I know wholeheartedly that everybody is struggling right now and if you are not able to donate without burdening yourself, please don't feel pressured to do so. If at the very least you share this, so it can reach more people, I'd appreciate that so much. The most urgent amount needed is $623, while I set the goal for the total amount of the procedure. If all you can donate, is even just $5, it will all add up and your contribution will be so very appreciated.

My mom is my best friend, my rock, a true angel on earth. She is the foundation of our whole family and the foundation of her entire workplace as well, which is desperately struggling to bring in income since Covid. Everyone who knows her sees just how giving and selfless she is, always helping everyone and never asking for anything in return. She'd give the shirt off her back to someone in need and is always helping others, sometimes forgetting that she needs to put herself first at times.

In fact she'd probably tell me not to make a GoFundMe and that we'll just figure it out somehow on our own, but I feel like if anyone is to ask my what I'd want for my birthday this year, it would be for my mom to get this procedure so she can stop having these breakthrough tachycardia events and be able to do things she used to enjoy doing, like gardening in the warm sun, going for long walks with the dog, and even just going swimming at the beach or the pool which now seem to so easily send her into tachycardia.

With all that said, again, I know we are all struggling, so any amount donated will be incredibly incredibly appreciated and we thank you so, so much for the gift. I love you all and even if you arent able to donate, perhaps a share of this GoFundMe could reach some more people who may be able to help out my mom in her time of need.
