Hello, my name is Daniel and I'm Laura's fiancé.

In mid April, Laura received life-changing news. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer that affects the production of red and white blood cells created in bone marrow.

As you can imagine, this came as a shock to us.

After a series of tests and examinations, her doctors informed her she would need to undergo immediate and intensive inpatient chemotherapy to combat the AML, requiring her to be away from her young daughter and take a leave of absence from her career as a hairstylist.

Since her diagnosis, Laura has been in and out of the hospital and will start treatment in May. She’s experienced many ups and downs during this time, but remains strong and determined to battle and beat this cancer.

Despite the emotional and physical toll this experience has taken on her, she’s been touched by the outpouring of love and support from her family and friends.

Her journey is far from over, but she remains hopeful and resolute to fight this disease. With the help of loved ones and the support of her community, she knows she can overcome this obstacle and emerge strong!
