Laura and Pete lost everything today in a house fire. Thankfully, Pete made it out alive and was able to rescue most of the animals. They will need help recovering and getting back on their feet.
Right now, we are focused on taking care of the basics... a place to sleep and clothes to wear. They are going to have to save up for a security deposit and first month's rent somewhere. I would love to see us raise enough money to get them a home somewhere so they can have a place to call their own while they heal from this.
I will keep you updated on their progress. At this point we don't know exactly what's needed but I anticipate the costs of getting back on their feet will be a good bit.
