Thank you so much for your support and prayers! As you may have seen on face book or not, in early June many friends helped me enter and complete the Rock Roll San Diego Half Marathon! It was a good day and I finished the event at a slow pace as I'd not trained but one of my friends and previous co-workers loved me enough to waive my entry fee. So I HAD to do it! For so many reasons, I HAD to enter and Finish this event was much like so many otters but brings my life in San Diego into full circle to close many finished chapters and let new ones begin! It's been a long and strange road over the last 20 years so it was very fitting to participate!
So Very Much to be done still and June 29 court date did resolve the marriage according to the state of CA. Divorced! Finally done.

Mediator suggested 50/50 custody and judge went with it. Not so great news, on the flip side while Laura's in school not much changed to her so less stress for her so good in that regard at this time.

Thank you so much for your support and helping! Much like a half marathon, marathon or running event, we don't always train well or as we should but if your best effort is given and you keep on the right paths, you will make it to the finish line and beyond. Maybe that was a warm up... that took four years. Ugh.

Laura's dad is working one day a week and is trying to get more custody of Laura and he can't take care of himself. He's been in ICU atleast once in Jan and once last week Feb 20, and he continually covers this by asking his mom to take care of her. I won't give the levels of muck this entails but it's not a good mental or physical thing for Laura and it's also against a court order that I'm supposed to have first right of refusal if he's not able to care for Laura any time he is allocated to be her caretaker. Battling child custody in CA since Jan 2014 has completely drained me financially and beyond. I'm tired of making more stress within my family by asking family for money that I've got to find a way to pay back while living here because I'm not allowed to take Laura out of CA currently. In order to petition to move away, go back to court and possibly trial, my attorney needs my bill paid to date, plus yet another retainer fee plus who knows how much more this will take to complete and finish the most important part of this divorce, custody! Laura's dad hasn't been agreeable in many ways over the years, especially as of recently, so I don't see it changing in the near future.
