Help Laura and Josh Save Their Home

Hi. You know how houses have those pipes underneath them to transport all the water away? Ours doesn’t. We’re Laura Gibbons and Josh Mundschenk. We’ve been married for 4 years, living in our house for 3. We love each other. We love our life. We love our house. It’s close to both our jobs and both our families. We’ve always struggled a bit, but had enough to get by. What we do not have is in-depth skill in home-sewer repair, nor the $18,000 quoted to us for the work needed. On 04/21/25, our floor drain backed up into our basement, flooding the laundry room. We had to personally cut out a foot of drywall from the floor to avoid mold growth. We called plumbers to clear the drain. After final inspection, they told us that our entire sewer system needed to be replaced. Our pipes underneath our house are so corroded the bottom of the pipe is GONE. They will back up again, it’s only a matter of time. We’ve never had any issues before, and our initial inspection showed no problems. We both have full-time jobs. We live very frugally. We just don’t wanna lose our house. If there’s anything you can do to help us, we’d be eternally grateful.
