Help Laura and Jose Rebuild Their Life After Fire

Today, I am reaching out with a heavy heart and asking for your support! On the morning of July 2nd, my sister Laura Pardy Reyes and her husband, Retired U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Jose E. Reyes of Rocky Mount, NC, experienced a devastating house fire that resulted in the total loss of their home and everything in it. While we are so grateful that no one was hurt, this has left my sister, her husband, and their 17-year-old granddaughter, who they are raising, without a place to call home and facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch in their 60's.

Laura and Jose have helped out so many friends and family when they were in need. In need of a fresh start, a place to stay, advice, or just being there to listen. Their house was the family and friend gathering place for many years, for holidays, birthdays, celebrations, and just good times. Now it is our turn to help them!

I have set up this fundraiser to assist with the immediate and long-term expenses associated with rebuilding their home and life. Your contributions will go directly towards: Providing a safe and stable place for her and her family to stay while they rebuild, clothing, toiletries, and other essential items that were lost in the fire, assisting with the costs of rebuilding their home, and helping to replace the many items that made their house a home.
