My name is Larry Howe, and I am coming to you on behalf of my sister, Laura. She recently moved to Winchester, VA to be closer to me and for better opportunities, but it's been a rough year so far. She missed some shifts at her job due to physical pain, and right as she got started with her new employer, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Because of the pain (and the constant doctor appointments), she's been removed from the schedule, but she's still able to keep her insurance for now. As her caregiver through chemo and radiation, I too have been missing a lot of work, and trying to balance all of this while taking care of her 11-year-old is proving to be too much to handle (financially) for one barber. These funds will go a long way to be able to afford daily drives to her treatment center, food for her and her son, rent, utilities, etc. The eventual goal is to afford enough to get us all moved into the same place to make it easier for all of us, but we're just taking it day by day :)
