Help Launch the Sienna Starr Foundation

Hello, as many of you know by now, my name is Chad Starr and I am Sienna’s father. On July 1st, 2019, I lost Sienna to suicide. I have since done everything I can to make sure parents know just how important it is to ask their children the hard questions.

Since losing Sienna, I have helped raise and donated nearly $20,000 to various mental health nonprofits. I have dreamt of starting my very own nonprofit in honor of Sienna. I have met so many amazing people in the last nearly 6 years and so many of them have the same questions: “What do I do when my child is sad? What are the signs of depression in children? What do I do when my child won’t talk to me about their sadness?” I consider myself very blessed to be someone that so many people trust with these questions.

I quickly learned that there are so many parents that just truly don’t know where to turn when faced with these difficult situations. I have been thinking about starting my own nonprofit, “The Sienna Starr Foundation,” to help with this very thing. I want the foundation to be a place where everyone can go with questions and leave with answers. My goal is to help guide parents in the right direction as they navigate the roads ahead.

Donations will go towards fees to help properly start the foundation and also used to help spread the message that “You Are Loved.”
