This is Joshua. Some of you have heard bits and pieces of what I’ve been working on for the past few years — now I’m finally ready to share the bigger picture.

I’ve spent the last nine years quietly developing a new kind of battery — one that could genuinely change the world.

It weighs a tenth of what lithium batteries do, stores 30 to 100 times more energy, and best of all, it recharges instantly. No rare earth mining. No decay. No chemical waste. It’s built from quartz — basically refined sand — using a completely new approach to energy design.

This isn’t science fiction. It’s real, and it’s built on a new model of physics I’ve been developing: one that rethinks energy, time, and the field we live in.

Where I’m At — and What I Need

I’ve reached Technology Readiness Level 3, which means I’m just one step away from a working prototype. Once that’s built, I’ll qualify for full-scale venture funding. I already have two major investors waiting in the wings — one is a multimillionaire friend in Europe, and the other is flying to meet me in Calgary this month.

But I need to show them the prototype first.

I’ve invested everything I have into this project — time, money, and my entire focus. What I need now is $2,000 to $20,000 to build the first working device. Even at the low end, I can make it work. But with the full amount, I can build a far more advanced version, validate more of the tech, and unlock a higher tier of funding.

Why It Matters — For Alberta, Canada, and Beyond

This isn’t just about a new battery. This is about energy sovereignty.

Right now, the global energy transition is fractured. Elon Musk and Donald Trump — two massive forces in energy and policy — are at odds. Trump is cutting EV incentives. Musk needs better batteries. This technology could bridge that divide — and I’m actively working to meet with their teams.

For Alberta, this tech could mean a new economy. We currently generate about $100 billion a year from oil. This battery — even conservatively — could add $55 billion in clean energy exports per year. That’s a revolution. And it’s coming from here.
