My name is Frederica and I’m starting the Marquavies Bernard Broughton Foundation in loving memory of my son Marquavies (Qua), whose life was taken far too soon due to a fentanyl-related tragedy.

Our mission is clear:

To educate, advocate, and support families and communities impacted by the opioid crisis—starting with fentanyl awareness.

This fundraiser will help us officially launch the foundation and cover critical startup costs, including:

Legal and IRS fees to obtain 501(c)(3) nonprofit status

Website development and branding

Educational materials for schools and community centers

Awareness campaigns and public outreach

Support services for families affected by overdose
