After three decades of teaching in both public and private schools, I feel God is calling me to reimagine what education can look like for children in our community. That’s why I’m starting The Hive: Inspiring a Love of Learning, a micro school designed to serve 8-12 students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade. My vision is to create a small, multi-age community where every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their learning goals while growing in faith.

I believe that learning should be fun, meaningful, and tailored to each child’s unique needs. In The Hive, students will be expected to support and encourage one another, creating a positive and uplifting environment. The dynamic of a multi-age setting will help each student strive to meet their academic potential, while also building strong relationships and a sense of belonging.

I am at the very beginning stages of planning and hope to open The Hive this August. To make this dream a reality, I need help with purchasing or leasing a school location, classroom furniture, technology, curriculum, and other essential materials.
