I’m raising funds to launch The First Month Game, a hands-on financial literacy experience for Title I high school seniors. I created this program to give students a real taste of adult life before the stakes are real. In the game, seniors step into a simulated first month on their own, where they have to budget, pay bills, respond to unexpected expenses, and make tough spending decisions in real time. It’s designed to be safe, engaging, and fun, while still teaching the kinds of lessons that can shape a student’s future. I believe financial literacy should not be a privilege determined by zip code, and I want to make this experience completely free for students who can benefit from it most.
We are starting with a pilot at a local Title I high school in New York, where The First Month Game will reach 100 to 300 students. The funds raised will help cover the materials, staffing, and logistics needed to bring this pilot to life and build toward a 10-market national expansion. My hope is that more seniors will graduate with real financial confidence, not just theory, and feel better prepared to navigate adulthood with clarity and courage. Please consider supporting this fundraiser and sharing it with others. Your help will empower students with real-world financial skills and give them the confidence to make smart decisions for their future.
