Empowerment Companion is a personalized daily task and goal-setting app designed specifically for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities — and the family members, caregivers, and support network in their lives.

While most task apps are built for productivity, this one is built for personal growth, independence, and inclusion. It uses trained AI to learn about each user through friendly, conversational check-ins, then offers:

Over 7 million people in the U.S. live with cognitive or developmental disabilities — yet very few tools are designed with their abilities and realities in mind. Empowerment Companion helps fill that gap with a smart, accessible tool that feels like a coach, a guide, and a friend.

Co-Creating with the Disability Community

We’re building Empowerment Companion with the step-by-step support of Northwest Center, a leading nonprofit based in Seattle with over 60 years of experience advocating for and supporting people with disabilities, as well as similar organizations around the country.

Together with their teams of disability specialists and community members, we’re co-designing and testing the app to ensure it’s truly inclusive, accessible, and grounded in real-world needs. Their deep expertise and lived experience are shaping a tool that empowers users with the right support — not just in theory, but in everyday life.
