My name is Christine, and together with my recovering friend, we are working to officially launch "The 3-C's" urban revitalization project, which includes establishing a pet-supply cooperative for South Minneapolis. You could elect to have your donation credited towards a future owner-membership within this co-op, City Creature Comforts. (You will need to contact us with this preference after making your donation.) Our most urgent need is to restabilize our housing situation—I'm currently three months behind on rent, and my house guest is still healing from a seriously debilitating eye infection. If we lose our apartment, none of our plans for the community can move forward. My friend is also one of the "original owner-members" for our pet-supply co-op, and her products, which were gaining traction before she became homeless and ill, align perfectly with "The 3-C's". However, until she regains her vision, it's difficult for her to contribute fully, and stable housing is essential for both of us to focus on recovery and our mission!

Launching this business venture from my current residence is crucial, but we need help with rent, medical bills, and the resources to get started. After losing my position with my employer of nearly 15 years, I used my retirement savings to pay bills and invest in "The 3-C's" buying equipment, tech support, office supplies, and dedicating valuable time to research and learning. Over the last couple of years, I've come close to launching franchise products and services several times, but lack of liquid assets, time, and help always stood in the way. Now, with my friend and cohort by my side, we have the drive and vision, but neither of us have the funds, and time is running out due to delinquent rent.

Our delivery program is especially needed now. Since January 2025, our neighborhood has lost its only hardware store, the only pharmacy within walking distance, and more recently, our second-hand retailer—all vital resources for our community, especially the elderly, ill, and those without vehicles. Most residents in our densely populated area do not own cars, so losing access to these stores makes daily life much harder and keeps money from circulating locally. We want to provide a solution that helps our neighbors get what they need and keeps our community strong.

We know many of our neighbors are struggling, and we stand with them—all of them. The anxiety and fear of the unknown is real, and the line between right and wrong has grown blurry. We want to do what's right for our community, our local businesses, and the planet. We believe success cannot be measured in monetary gains for some when others get none. Our ultimate goal for "The 3-C's" is to provide a template of infinite possibilities for future generations. Any support you can offer will help us stay in our home, recover, and launch a project that brings hope and opportunity to South Minneapolis. Don't stop believing and Thank You!
