Help Launch Taano House, a Botanical Bar in Austin, TX

Hello all!

We have exciting news! We are opening a non-alcoholic botanical bar in Austin, but we need your help!

What’s a botanical bar? It’s a cocktail bar that uses plants instead of alcohol. We use natural ingredients like Kava, Blue Lotus, Kanna, and Amanita Muscaria (and many more!) to approximate the feeling of alcohol, but without the sluggishness, hangovers, or negative health effects that come with “drinking as usual.” The core of our business is something that has rarely (if ever) been tried before—the feel of a traditional bar but instead of alcohol we’re using a wide variety of euphoric and relaxing botanical supplements that are considered by the scientific community to be safe for daily use. Our plants truly offer people the opportunity to feel good without feeling bad the next day.

This is a relatively new concept in the beverage industry, but we truly believe this new way of drinking, socializing, and networking could revolutionize how people drink socially.

To make this vision a reality, we’ve taken a leap–we bought a food trailer, meticulously researched, sourced, and sampled botanicals of the highest quality, perfected traditional yet innovative cocktails, and even rented a great spot on E. 6th Street, the epicenter of Austin’s vibrant nightlife and a haven for adventurous drinkers like ourselves. We are excited to open on August 15 and would love your help making this dream of a seven-day-a-week, non-alcoholic botanical bar in Austin become a reality.

We’ve turned down investors because we want to ensure that Taano House stays out of corporate hands and continues to serve the needs of our community. That’s who we are—people who care about community.

Will you help us cross the finish line with Taano House? We hope to raise $8,000 by opening day. We’re raising this money to help us get all the drink supplies and the bar set up (furniture, pergola, etc.) that we need for opening.
