Help Launch “Scream and Sugar” A Sober Bar & Safe Space for All

Hi, my name is Jackie, and I’m starting Scream and Sugar, a sober bar and social space dedicated to connection, creativity, and community without alcohol.

As someone who has personally walked the path of addiction and recovery through alcoholism, this project is deeply personal. I know how hard it can be to find a place to truly belong when you’re trying to stay sober. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to create a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where everyone, whether in recovery or simply choosing not to drink, can enjoy great drinks, good music, and real connection.

What is “Scream and Sugar”?

Scream and Sugar will be:

*A “non-alcoholic bar” featuring handcrafted mocktails and unique zero-proof beverages

* A live event space for music, open mics, poetry nights, workshops, and more

* A welcoming environment for people in recovery, sober-curious individuals, and anyone who wants to enjoy nightlife without alcohol

It will be a place where people can scream, sing, dance, and just be themselves without judgment and without a drink in their hand.

️ What We Need

We’ve secured a location, and now we’re asking for your help to bring it to life.

Our fundraising goal is $20,000, which will cover:

* Renovation and build-out of the space

* Equipment for the bar and kitchen

* Licensing, permits, and insurance

* Staff onboarding and training

* Furniture, decor, and sound system for live events

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to opening our doors.

There are so few spaces where people can feel safe, seen, and supported outside of traditional bars and clubs. For those in recovery and for those just seeking something different! Scream and Sugar is more than a bar. It’s a lifeline, a community hub, and a place to thrive, not just survive.
