We’re producing Roster, a darkly funny and emotionally raw short film that flips the rom-com script. We’re kicking off with a virtual table read on June 16, and we need your help to get there.

This mini-campaign will raise $2,500 to pay our actors, prep for grants and festivals, and compensate the creative and producing labor already in motion.

WHAT IS ROSTER?

Roster follows Jay, a charming yet emotionally unavailable man caught between performative vulnerability and actual growth. Told through the lens of his chaotic dating life, the story begins with the light of a rom-com—but darkens into a sharp, layered exploration of intimacy, ego, and avoidance.

It’s smart, twisted, sexy, and painfully familiar.

This is the kind of film you laugh at, flinch during, and think about for days.

WHY WE’RE RAISING $2,500 NOW

We’re not waiting for “someday.” We’re actively in development. Our first cast table read is happening June 16th, and we want to show up fully prepared—with talent, materials, and early traction to prove this project’s power.

Every dollar goes toward building momentum as we prepare for a full fall shoot and a larger Seed&Spark campaign to fully fund production.

Actor Honorariums - $500 - For Cast participating in the June 16th table read.

Producer Fees - $400 for Labor on casting, prep, campaign, and visual work.

Creative Services - $1,400 - Festival submissions, grsnt submissions, advertising, final poster design, concept visuals, mood assets, music, printing, and postage.

Go Fund Me Fees/Cushion - $200 - For platform fees and small contingency buffer
