I've spent years doing street outreach. You quickly learn what gets ignored, and what genuinely opens people up.
A leaflet is often taken and forgotten. A clipboard gets a polite no.
But offer someone a small treat, a respectful conversation, and a three-minute film that asks only for their attention, and the dynamic changes completely.
That's the idea behind Project 180.
We set up in public spaces and invite people to watch a short film. In return, we thank them with a vegan treat.
Simple idea. But in that exchange, something powerful can happen: someone chooses to engage with a perspective they may never have otherwise given a moment of thought.
And they walk away after an impactful conversation with a card that gives them all they need to make a compassionate change.
We're launching in Bedford, and much of the groundwork is already in place through previous community efforts and personal contributions. We've got a table, chairs, devices, and outreach equipment.
We're raising £180 for the final push:
• Branded table banner
• Printed placards
• Outreach QR handout cards
• Vegan treats for the coming months
£180 gets Project 180 live.
Every penny raised goes directly toward these outreach materials. Any surplus means we can get more placards and more food prizes. Donating to this fundraiser does not entitle donors to any reward, prize, treat, or incentive of any kind.
If you believe in calm, practical advocacy that meets people where they are, we'd be grateful for any support.
And if donating isn't for you, sharing this page could help it reach the exact person who wants to help.
Thank you for backing something positive.
