My name is Elihu, and for years I've poured my heart into cooking as a chef. Last February, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. That moment changed everything for me—it made me realize I hadn't saved enough for the future, and I wanted to create something meaningful to pass on to my son. My dream is to start a family business, PAPA EL’S SMOKEHOUSE & SEAFOOD SHACK, so that my wife and I can work when we choose and build a legacy for our son and the grandchildren we hope to welcome soon.
With your support, every dollar raised will go toward purchasing a 20 ft food trailer, fully equipped with a kitchen and smoker setup. This trailer will let us travel to festivals and carnivals all over Washington State and the Pacific Northwest, serving up smoked brisket, ribs, sausages, shrimp and oyster po' boys, Cubano sandwiches, and more. The trailer will have everything we need—a large smoker, three fryers, a flat top panini grill, sandwich maker boxes, refrigerators, freezers, and even a bathroom—so we can bring our best to every event.
