Help Bring Outdoorfreak’s First Kayak Product To Production
I’m Mark, founder of Outdoorfreak Gear and Services, and I’m working to bring our first product for the kayak industry from prototype to production. Outdoorfreak is no longer just an idea. The business is established, the brand is built, the website is live, our first working prototype has been developed, and we’re getting closer to production on what we believe will become Outdoorfreak’s flagship product. Because the product is still being refined and protected, I’m intentionally keeping some of its details confidential for now. But the goal is simple: solve a real problem for paddlers with a product designed from real-world outdoor experience. And this is only the beginning. We already have three additional product ideas lined up for prototyping, with plans to grow Outdoorfreak into a broader outdoor brand offering innovative gear, outdoor services, and experiences built around practical use in the real world.
Our First Milestone: $10,000
Our overall funding goal is $30,000, but our first major milestone is $10,000. That first milestone will help move Outdoorfreak closer to production by supporting:
* Final prototype refinement and testing
* Materials for the next production-ready prototype
* Intellectual-property and brand protection
* Manufacturing preparation and equipment
* Essential launch and operating expenses

Why This Matters to Me
The outdoors has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Fishing, camping, kayaking, exploring, building things, fixing things, and solving problems have shaped the way I think—and eventually shaped the idea behind Outdoorfreak. For more than 30 years, I worked hard to provide for my family and handle the responsibilities life put in front of me. Like a lot of people, some of my own dreams had to wait. Now I’m finally in a position to take a serious run at building something of my own. Losing my father when I was young taught me early that time matters. It also left me with a deep appreciation for building something that can outlast you and mean something to the generations that come after. That idea became part of the foundation of Outdoorfreak.

What We’re Building
Outdoorfreak is being built around a simple belief: Great outdoor gear should solve real problems, hold up to real use, be fairly priced, and earn the trust of the people who depend on it. I don’t want to build products just because we can. I want to build products because they make an outdoor experience safer, easier, stronger, more dependable, or simply better. And I want the people who believe in what we’re building to have a place in the journey. That’s why we created Outdoorfreak Basecamp and the Adventure Crew, a community where supporters can follow the build, participate in challenges, help shape ideas, vote on selected decisions, help name future gear, and see parts of the process most companies normally keep behind closed doors.

Financial support is incredibly valuable, but it isn’t the only way someone can help. Sometimes the most valuable contribution is time, experience, a professional skill, a connection, or simply being willing to help.
