We’re reaching out to our community with humility and gratitude. Our fishing boat—an essential part of how we provide for our families and continue our fishing way of life—has been out of the water longer than expected.

For Native Hawaiian fishermen, a boat isn’t just equipment. It carries culture, knowledge, and responsibility passed down through generations. When the boat is on the sand, the work stops—but the bills don’t.

Thanks to prayers, encouragement, and support from so many of you, we are preparing to launch the boat back into the ocean tomorrow. This moment means everything to us.

We’re asking for kōkua to help cover the remaining costs that come with getting back on the water—fuel, basic repairs, launch expenses, and operating costs needed to fish safely and legally.
