This is a little vulnerable for me to share, but I’m asking for help as I take a big leap into building something I truly believe in. After years of working as an art teacher and spending my life creating, I’m starting my own small business called Mai Tai and Chill — a tropical gothic inspired brand that blends art, creativity, and community. Think vintage tiki vibes, dark tropical aesthetics, handmade goods, art, and eventually a space where people can gather, take classes, and enjoy the magic of creativity together. For a long time, this dream lived quietly in my head. Now I’m finally working to make it real.

I am starting small but intentional — selling my art, stickers, prints, and products online and vending at local markets, with the long-term dream of opening a Mai Tai and Chill shop and creative space. This journey is about more than just launching a business; it’s about building a place where creativity, weirdness, and tropical gothic vibes can thrive, and where others can feel inspired to make things too.

The funds raised will go directly toward vending booth equipment, product manufacturing (like stickers, prints, and merchandise), art supplies and packaging, business licensing and startup costs, building my online shop, and marketing and branding materials. Every dollar will help me take the next step, from setting up at local markets to reaching people online, and eventually creating a welcoming space for the community.
