Marshall University students are coming together to officially establish ACHA hockey and build both a men’s and women’s team. Our goal is to compete at the collegiate level while creating opportunities for student athletes to represent Marshall with pride. Right now, we are in the beginning stages, and that means we are starting from scratch. To get us completely ready for the ice, we need funding for ice time and rink rental, equipment and safety gear, jerseys and team apparel, league and registration fees, and start up organizational costs.

Unlike established programs, we do not yet have full university funding. Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving student athletes, or people who wanted to play hockey and couldn’t because there’s nowhere to skate, the opportunity to play the sport they love while representing Marshall University. This isn’t just about hockey, it’s about bringing hockey back to Huntington, creating leadership opportunities, and giving both men and women the chance to compete at the collegiate level with the schools in our area.
