Greetings everyone,

My name is Jenn, and I’m the founder of MAKT Energy.

At the end of 2024, I made the decision to change paths and build a business doing something I truly believe in—helping companies reduce energy waste, lower costs, and operate more sustainably using cutting-edge technology. In early 2025, I partnered with a UK clean tech company and became one of only nine authorized distributors in Canada of their advanced energy monitoring systems.

In the spring of 2025, I left my District role—recognized as one of the top-performing regions in the West in 2024 (#2)—to fully commit to training and launching MAKT Energy. There, I led a multimillion-dollar district program, strengthening my expertise in operations, client relationships, and delivering results.

And then life took an unexpected turn.

Not long after leaving, I had to shelve the business due to a medical leave that lasted much longer than anticipated. During that time, the six months of income I had set aside to support my family and meet the initial business expenses needed to be used to support my family’s living expenses instead.

Like many people in that position, the focus had to shift from building a future… to simply getting through the present.

Now, after nearly a year, I’m ready to move forward again.

MAKT Energy is more than just a business to me. It’s a chance to build something meaningful—not only for my family, but for businesses facing rising energy costs and increasing pressure to operate sustainably. The technology we bring to market provides real-time insight into energy use, helping organizations reduce waste, improve efficiency, and make smarter decisions.

I’ve already seen firsthand that the demand is there. Businesses are looking for better support, better solutions, and someone who understands their challenges. This system can help businesses across Canada reduce energy use and redirect savings back into their operations.

In the report Canada’s Energy Future 2026 by the Canada Energy Regulator, electricity demand is projected to grow significantly—increasing between 26% and 85% by 2050. This highlights why I believe this technology is such a valuable tool across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.

What I need now is help rebuilding what I had to use during that time away.

But I’m not starting from scratch—I’m picking up where I had to pause. The partnership, the plan, and the opportunity are all still here, and I’m excited to get started.
