Help Launch Lume Fitness for Women

My journey to create Lume Fitness began with my own struggles in traditional gyms. As a woman and a military veteran currently serving, I’ve spent years proving my strength and resilience—yet I’ve often been told I was “too small,” “not strong enough,” or “not good enough.” Even with seven years of military service, I’ve personally experienced feeling unsafe, judged, or unwelcome in gyms. Like many women, I’ve dealt with unwanted attention, intimidation, and the constant feeling of being out of place. These experiences inspired me to build something different. Lume Fitness will be the only women-focused fitness center in De Pere, WI. While anyone is welcome, the space is designed around women’s needs—providing a safe, motivating, and empowering environment where women can truly focus on their health, strength, and confidence.

I’ve already heard from dozens of women in the community who are waiting for a space like this: A young mom told me she avoids gyms entirely because of judgment and unwanted stares—she said she’s ready to invest in herself but needs a place where she feels safe. A beginner lifter shared that traditional gyms are overwhelming, and she often walks out before even starting her workout. A survivor confided that a women-focused environment is the only space where she’d feel comfortable rebuilding her strength. These voices remind me every day why this space matters. Lume will feature a modern, LED-lit design, creating an energizing atmosphere that’s empowering, not intimidating. We’ll also launch a rewards system where members earn points for showing up, hitting milestones, and can redeem them for perks. On top of that, we’re building partnerships with local businesses—like smoothie shops, massage therapists, and nutrition services—so our members have holistic support.

This isn’t about excluding anyone—it’s about creating an inclusive space where women can build strength, confidence, and community without barriers. With your support, we can secure the lease, begin construction, and open our doors this December 2025.
