Mahalo nui loa for taking a moment to read and for supporting the start up of our farm.

This past year has been a challenging one for my ʻohana, which slowed progress more than I had hoped. Through it all, my commitment to this ʻāina has never wavered. I am deeply grateful for the patience, care, and understanding that have been extended, and I remain fully dedicated to stewarding this land with intention and respect.

I’m excited to share that 2026 is the year this farm moves fully forward.

I have been working to finalize detailed budgets, field layouts, and an implementation plan for the farm. I have completed the production plan to establish approximately one acre of laʻi (ti leaf) as the first major planting at Haukoloa Farms LLC. This initial planting will serve as the foundation for expanding production and bringing my long-term farm vision to life.

To take this next step, I am raising $10,000 to complete the essential land clearing and farm layout work needed before planting can begin. These funds will directly support ground preparation so we can move immediately into planting once clearing is complete.

The budget incudes:

$3,000 - Land Clearing
$1,000 - Irrigation Hardware
$2,500 - Weedmat
$ 500 - Misc. tools, staples, posts, etc.
$ 500 - Amendments/fertilizer
$2,500 - Labor
$10,000 TOTAL

Your contribution will help turn this land into a visibly productive, actively farmed space—supporting local agriculture, cultural plants, and long-term stewardship of the ʻāina. I will be sharing progress updates throughout the process so supporters can see the impact of their generosity firsthand.

Once clearing is complete, planting will begin right away, followed by a phased expansion of additional areas of the property as the farm becomes established. My goal is to ensure steady, visible progress and active agricultural use of the land throughout the first half of 2026.

Mahalo for believing in this work and for helping make this next chapter possible. Your support is not just an investment in a farm—it’s an investment in the future of this ʻāina and the people who care for it.
