Hi, I’m Karen Benedikz, a lecturer and founder of Curborough Academy for Social Sciences, an online education platform created to give adults a second chance at learning (UKPRN 10099711)

There are too many people who cannot access further and higher education because of work, family, or financial struggles. That’s why I’m launching our first courses: a level 1 course in Mental Health, Level 2 courses in health care and counselling and a Level 4 course in Psychology. We hope to quickly expand this offer!

This isn’t just about education—it’s about empowerment, confidence, and opportunity.

Why It Matters

New providers can’t access government funding until they’re already running. Your support helps us break that cycle and open doors for learners who’ve waited too long. We’ve been advised to charge students for the courses, but we want to fund some places for those who cannot pay

How Your Donation Helps

We’re raising £2,000 to:

Give our first 10 learners a free Level 1 course to get started ona new career.

This would cover a quality online education experience for learners including online lessons, tutorials and forums. As well as access to online resources – making this a more personalised and immersive experience than traditional distance learning products whilst being more accessible than attending a physical learning environment.
