A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Hi there! My name is Makenzie Gomez and I am the founder of Creative Adaptations LLC. As a disabled professional theatre artist myself, I know from firsthand experience that with some education, experimentation, and creative adaptations, disabled artists and other theatre makers can collaborate to make something beautiful. My most recent video concept piece, Music and the Mirror (& Mobility Aids), aims to show what's possible. Read more about it in this Broadway World press release.
This page is initially to serve as a place to raise start-up funds (starting a business isn’t cheap!). If we exceed the start-up cost goal of $7,500, any remaining funds will be used in ways including but not limited to: providing scholarship offerings to the disabled artist community, hiring top notch choreographers and guest speakers, developing future programming, bringing on staff, and more.
