Our dream is to have a brick-and-mortar store in Ferndale, Michigan to provide shelf-stable groceries, household items, and magical, old timey feelings. We want to make everyday purchases meaningful by offering quality necessities to our community through small, local supply chains, and ethical business practices. We value Michigan, Midwest, and U.S. businesses that use sustainable methods and natural, locally sourced materials. We have already made connections with over 50 artisans that represent our values and with your help we can bring all of these products to our neighborhood.
Here are just a few examples of the awesome products we hope to share:
Fresh and locally milled flour, made from Michigan grown grains
Slippers made from Michigan sheep’s wool
Recycled and compostable greeting cards
Chocolate, fairly traded, slave free
Soda, locally made with native plants
Old fashioned candy, free from artificial colors and flavors
Candles, made of beeswax from Michigan hives
We have the perfect space in mind for our store, and we can't wait to share more details with you as soon as we cross all the t's and dot all the i's.
If you want to know more about us...
We are Sandra and Hannah, both born and raised Michiganders who have always been in love with Michigan's wide array of locally made goods. We had both been living in our separate corners of Ferndale for the past 10 years. We often saw each other around town at local events and shops. We eventually gave into the forces of the universe and decided to become friends. We share a love of all things vintage, local, and natural.
Thank you for donating, if that's what you choose to do.
Please tell your friends and enemies (they may have money, too).
Yours Truly,
Sandra and Hannah
